The Brinkley Belugas eked out a 2-1 win versus the Florida Men at Belugas Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Lawrence Lane, who captured player of the game honors. Brinkley is second in the Premier AAA with a record of 58-33.
Luis García tagged a home run off Rhett Abbott in the bottom of the first. His 2-run blast put the Belugas on top, 2-0. In all, García had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said García. "And not try to do too much."
