Port Royal withstood an impressive performance by Pawnee right fielder Josh Mawdesley to defeat the ParksNRec, 11-9, at Whips Ballpark. Mawdesley was 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 times. Port Royal reliever Joe Louter picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Juan Vargas took the loss. Marcos Oquendo earned his 15th save in 15 tries.

Richard Cutshall drove in one run for Port Royal. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 9-9 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Justin Barber. It was his 24th RBI of the season.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Cutshall told the Port Royal Gazette. "It's as simple as that."

After today's action, Port Royal sits at 47-40, while Pawnee falls to 34-53.
