The Scranton Supernovas trumped the Port Royal Disaster, 7-4, at Nuclear Stadium. Scranton left fielder Senior Pond was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Masami Kogawa picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 4 earned runs on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 5-8. Kent Phillips finished to wrap up his 1st save.

Tied up with the Disaster in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Supernovas got a boost from first baseman Felipe Bruno. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Bruno saw a 1-1 curveball from Patrick Buzard and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Scranton on top, 4-3.

Bruno told a Scranton Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
