The Port Royal Disaster topped the Plymouth Rocks, 4-2, in USPL Triple A action at Plymouth Quarry. The player of the game was Port Royal pitcher Júlio Díaz. Díaz, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Marcos Oquendo earned the save for Port Royal, his 11th.
Port Royal used the timely hitting of Oki Hai to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Disaster ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.
"We did enough to win," said Hai.
The 5th-place Disaster lifted their record to 36-36.
