Longnecks Topple Rocks with Late Rally

The Longnecks had to overcome a good performance from Plymouth pitcher Alberto Álvarez to claim a 4-3 win at Lookouts Ballpark. Álvarez went 8 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Mark Zaugg converted his 2nd save in 2 tries. The Longnecks now have a record of 24-35 with the win over Plymouth.
Had Daniel Carr not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Carr hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Longnecks.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Plymouth manager John Bush.
