Rocks Lose, 5-1, at Ballpark of Port Royal
|
The exploits of designated hitter Oki Hai, who is tied for 8th in the PAAA in home runs with 9, helped the Port Royal Disaster defeat the Plymouth Rocks, 5-1. Hai slugged 2 home runs. Port Royal is now 25-32.
The tide might have turned with no one out in the top of the fourth, had not Jerry Kumpf made a big pitch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Rocks trailing 4-1, he retired Sidney Mackell, who hit into a double play.
