Men Bang Out 8-3 Win Versus Bloomington
|
The Florida Men topped the Bloomington Longnecks, 8-3, with right fielder Jeff Mouton playing a big role. Mouton was 1-2 with 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Men in the win. Rhett Abbott earned the win for Florida. He lasted 7.2 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 4-4. Even with the win, the Men have a dismal 18-34 record.
Barsati Saraf drove in 2 runs for Florida. The 20-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ricardo Pérez. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
