Loss to Men Extends Port Royal Losing Streak
|
It was a fun time at Psychos Ballpark, where the Port Royal Disaster and Florida Men tangled.
The Florida Men knocked off the Port Royal Disaster, 6-2, at Psychos Ballpark. Ronald Anderson, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Florida won. The center fielder was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Oscar Kenselaar got the win, improving to 1-6. He worked 7.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3.
Henry Lambright's at-bat in the bottom of the seventh inning was a big one for Florida. Coming to bat with no one out, a runner on 1st and Florida trailing 2-1, the catcher hit a run-scoring double.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Lambright told reporters after the game.
The Disaster, at 17-22, have lost 6 in a row.
