The Brinkley Belugas had no problem beating the Port Royal Disaster, 15-2, at Ballpark of Port Royal. Jouo Hirschovits led the way. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for Brinkley. Ralph Greer, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 3-0. The Belugas now have a record of 20-14.
Hirschovits had a key at-bat for Brinkley early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and gave Brinkley an early 2-0 lead.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Brinkley manager Ricardo Medina.
