|
Getting a good performance from catcher Bertrand Pick, the Calgary Lynx defeated the Port Royal Disaster, 6-3. Pick was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Lynx. The win was credited to Wai-ho Fan in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Chenor Njie took the loss. Ricardo Covarrubias earned the save for Calgary, his 3rd of the year.
Daniel García helped out the Calgary cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 1-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," García told the Calgary Gazette.
The first-place Lynx have won 7 straight games.
