Las Vegas third baseman Freedon Akinmoladun had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Boston Patriots, 11-2. Sy-ing Tah, who went 7.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 7 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 5-9. With the win, Las Vegas goes to 36-46, while the Patriots fall to 55-27.
Las Vegas used the timely hitting of Sun-jae Kwak to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Flamingos on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Las Vegas manager JJ Hoban. "Our pregame was pretty good."
