San Antonio withstood an impressive performance by Olympia left fielder Roberto González to defeat the Ogres, 7-6, at The Ogre Den. González went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The winner was San Antonio reliever Curt Orser, now 4-3. The loser was Julius Spry. San Antonio is last in the Menard's AA with a record of 34-63.

It could have been a different outcome for San Antonio, had it not been for Fergus Stidston, the 22-year old shortstop . Stidston contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 12th inning to put San Antonio up, 7-6.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Stidston.
