Youth Squelch Atoms Offense in Shutout Win
|
It was a good time at Grenadiers Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Bethesda Atoms and Phoenix Hotspur Youth get after it.
Phoenix Hotspur Youth starter Dan Bell was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Bethesda Atoms, 4-0. Benjie Cacdac closed the game out for Phoenix Hotspur, earning his 1st save.
Bethesda had a runner on 1st in the top of the eighth. With no one out, Juan Mata stood at the plate, hoping to find a gap. Instead, he hit into a double play. The score remained 1-0, Phoenix Hotspur. The Atoms never could mount a comeback.
The Youth now have a mark of 38-52.
