Rails Drop Fighting Imps, 4-1

Richland played host to Ithaca at the friendly confines of Rails Ballpark.
Getting a good performance from left fielder Bill Hill, the Richland Rails defeated the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 4-1. Hill was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Rails. Picking up the save was Frank Porter, his 8th.
Richland took a 4-1 lead on Hui-ying Sun's 69th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Sun hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Ithaca pitcher Bogdon Sokolov visibly frustrated.
Sun told a Richland News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
The 'W' lifts Richland's record to 41-48.
