New Orleans pitcher Matt Martin did his part in helping his team beat the D.C. Divided, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The win was Gilberto Medina's in relief. His record improves to 4-5. Roberto Silva took the loss for D.C.. New Orleans is now riding a 3-game win streak.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when New Orleans second baseman Ramón Garmendia, facing Roberto Silva, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Voodoo the 2-1 win.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said D.C. manager Jonathan Gerth. "The effort was great."
