Nationals Walk Off with Win

The Ottawa Nationals topped the Phoenix Hotspur Youth, 3-2, in M3L Double A action at Nationals Park. The player of the game was Ottawa pitcher and Willemstad, Curaçao native Dustin van Aaken. Ottawa reliever David Blake was the winner. His record is now 2-2. Rook Ellington took the loss. Ottawa is now 27-40, Phoenix Hotspur 26-41.
Glenn Curtis was the walk-off hero for Ottawa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Nationals second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I felt good up there," said Curtis. "I saw the ball well."
