Charleston Battery starter Tony Alfonso was in fine form against the New Orleans Voodoo at Charleston Armory, leading his team to a 6-2 win. Charleston has now won 4 in a row.

The Battery beat the Voodoo with some clutch hitting. The single by Adrian Rodgers in the bottom of the seventh is a good example. With two down, Rodgers gave his team the lead, 4-2, when he came through with the big hit.

"Tony was throwing free and easy," said Charleston manager Matt Hunt.
