Castillo, Nationals Get 2-0 Win
|
Ottawa right-hander Jesús Castillo was sensational in shutting out the Asheville Highlanders, 2-0. Kevin Pilkington got the save, the 2nd for him this season. The Nationals are off to a tough start, getting just their 3rd win in 8 games.
Castillo earned the win to move to 1-0. In his 8-inning performance, he scattered 1 hits, striking out 8 and walking 1. The right-hander allowed the Highlanders few scoring opportunities.
Castillo told a Ottawa Daily reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
