Hotspur Trip Cattlemen in Extras
|
The Phoenix Hotspur downed the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 4-3, at Chase Field. The Hotspur were led by Martín Talia, who captured player of the game honors. He went 4-7 with 2 home runs and a triple. Phoenix has now won 7 games in a row.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 15th. With no one out, Talia hit a cutter from Karl Dandleton for a solo home run. The Hotspur, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Talia said after the game.
