Knights Edge Hotspur, 11-10
|
The Phoenix Hotspur got a superb performance from third baseman Myles Brundidge, but the Kingston Township Knights still won the game, 11-10. Brundidge was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Jesús Acosta notched his 2nd save in 2 chances. The 10th-place Knights are now 25-38, the Hotspur 32-31.
Kingston Township used the timely hitting of Júlio Rodríguez to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Knights on top, 10-9. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"This game had a little bit of everything," said Rodríguez.
