Piranhas Come Back Late to Clip Knights
|
The Panama City Piranhas topped the Kingston Township Knights, 5-3, in Menard's Third League action at Cloverdale Legion Park. The player of the game was Panama City pitcher and New York native Harry Stuterberg. Panama City reliever Marvin Sidebottom was credited with the win, to go to 1-2. Anthony Ledesma took the loss for Kingston Township. The Piranhas sit in 10th place in the Third League with a record of 19-26.
Panama City used the timely hitting of Craig Tricket to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Piranhas ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.
"Harry is still learning," said Piranhas manager Brian Talamante. "The sky's the limit for him."
