Kim Sensational, 5-for-6
|
It was a hits blitz for Hyeon-cheong Kim at Chase Field today.
The San Mateo Dirty Reds third baseman tore into the Phoenix Hotspur for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Hotspur swept past the Dirty Reds 8-7 to ruin Kim's day.
"We weren't locating our pitches well," San Mateo manager Dean Ashley explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from Hyeon-cheong was nice but it wasn't enough."
Hyeon-cheong Kim singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 12th.\n
So far this year, Kim is batting .323 with 2 home runs and 20 RBIs.
