Belugas Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
Brinkley pitcher Matt Martin did his part in helping his team beat the Plymouth Rocks, 6-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Shawn Williams, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save. The Rocks, now 10-2, continue their sluggish start.

Brinkley used the timely hitting of Howard Lee to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Belugas ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"We take it day by day here," said Lee, "and today was a good one for us."
