Getting a good performance from designated hitter Jared Swanson, the Bloomington Longnecks defeated the Scranton Supernovas, 12-1. Swanson was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Longnecks. Steve Wortley was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. The win pushes Bloomington to a record of 4-4.

Bloomington used the timely hitting of Fook Zhào to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Longnecks ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Bloomington manager Coy Knight.
