Medina, Port Royal Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
Port Royal starter Carlos Medina pitched effectively against the Plymouth Rocks at Plymouth Quarry. The left-hander led his team to a 2-0 win. The save went to Chenor Njie, his 1st this season. Losses have been rare for the Rocks, who are now 7-1.

Medina, who dominated for Port Royal, earned the victory to move to 1-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 4. Plymouth batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Medina told the Port Royal Gazette.
