The Alloway Halberds picked up a win at Timber Hawks Ballpark, knocking off the Augusta Timber Hawks, 1-0. Starting pitcher Carlos Simon, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Simon picked up the win for Alloway, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Masaharu Sakata notched his 5th save in 7 chances.

Alloway took a 1-0 lead on José Zarate's 17th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Augusta pitcher Billy Brooks in the top of the seventh.
