Alloway rode a good effort from starter John Rigsby to beat the Indianapolis Racers at Speedway Field. The final score was 4-2. Alloway is now 31-48.

Alloway used the bat of Tom Burton to get the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Halberds ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Burton told a Alloway Observer reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
