Zarate goes 3-for-3 to Power Halberds Offense
The Alloway Halberds topped the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds by the score of 10-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman José Zarate. Zarate went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Halberds on the day. Alloway reliever Ryan Dull picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Pablo De La Torre absorbed the loss. Their 30-47 record puts the Halberds 9th in the Silver AAA.

Making an impact for the home team was Scotty Smalls. In the bottom of the fourth, the 29-year old shortstop had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 3-1, Halberds.
