Timber Hawks Lose, 3-1, at Ballpark of Alloway
|
Alloway starter Bob Browning put a stranglehold on the Augusta offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Halberds to a 3-1 win. Browning went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 5-8. Bob Bolen earned the save, his 5th, for the Halberds.
Scotty Smalls broke a 0-0 tie in the bottom of the second with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Halberds in front, 1-0. For the game, Smalls was 1 for 3.
"It feels good to get this one," Browning told the Alloway Observer.
Alloway now sits in 8th place in the Silver AAA at 26-36.
