Fighting Dachsunds Turn Back Jersey City, 5-3
|
Ellenburg right-hander Barry Mullen made an effective start against the Jersey City Tritons at Dog Park in Ellenburg, leading his team to a 5-3 win. Shawn Stevenson finished the game for Ellenburg and earned his 7th save. Even with the win, the Fighting Dachsunds have a dismal 18-41 record.
One of the key players for the Fighting Dachsunds was shortstop Manuel Rosales, who drilled a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second inning. For the game, Rosales was 1-4.
"Nice to get this one," said Mullen. "Wins have been hard to come by."
