The Indianapolis Racers beat the Alloway Halberds, 8-0, at Ballpark of Alloway. Indianapolis right fielder Juan Laguna earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2. Risto Hannila got the win, improving to 2-3. He held the Halberds to no earned runs on 2 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 1. Indianapolis now owns a record of 29-28.

Laguna put Indianapolis up, 3-0, when he hit a 2-run home run off Bob Browning in the top of the fourth. His 1st home run of the season helped the Racers capture the win.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Manuel Hernández.
