Racers Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Indianapolis Racers starter Alexis Zambaco was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Alloway Halberds, 8-2. Indianapolis has now won 4 straight.
Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Randy Contreras to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Racers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Alexis's tempo and rhythm were good," said Racers manager Rickey Jones. "He was the key to us winning."
