The Vermont Lake Monsters picked up a win at Monster Field, knocking off the Indianapolis Racers, 6-2. On the mound for Vermont was left-hander Mike Brandner, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Lake Monsters sit in 7th place in the Silver AAA with a record of 22-26.

Chrysler Rodriguez went 1 for 3 with a walk for Vermont. The 24-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off José Macías. It was his 9th walk of the season.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Brandner told the Vermont News.
