Lansing Park was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

The Alloway Halberds went home winners at Lansing Park, thanks in large part to starter Barry Rozner. Rozner silenced the Memphis Redbirds, enabling Alloway to grab the 2-1 win. Rozner got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 4 over 7 innings. Rozner allowed 1 earned run. Bob Bolen closed the door for Alloway, picking up his 1st save of the year.

Alloway grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Carlos Garza delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Halberds.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Alloway manager Manuel Hernández.

Alloway now sits at 16-31, while Memphis falls to 20-27.
