Loss to Lake Monsters Extends Alloway Losing Streak
|
Vermont rode a fine outing from starter Mike Brandner to victory over the Alloway Halberds at Monster Field. The final score was 2-0. Ramón Martínez earned the save, his 2nd. The losing skid has reached 7 games for Alloway.
Vermont took a 2-0 lead on Marcel Roks's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Alloway pitcher Mark Toope in the bottom of the seventh.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Brandner. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
