Tight Tilt Goes to Bronze Sox, 4-3
|
The Texas Bronze Sox beat the Alloway Halberds, 4-3, at Bronze Sox Park. The Bronze Sox got a fine performance from first baseman Jayden Laming, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Their 22-16 record puts the Bronze Sox third in the Silver AAA.
Texas grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Laming, who is tied for 6th in the SAAA in hits with 45, hit a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Bronze Sox out in front, 2-1.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Laming told the Texas Today. "You win just by scoring more runs."
