Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds starter Benjamin Busto pitched a strong game against the Alloway Halberds at Dog Park in Ellenburg, leading the Fighting Dachsunds to a 5-1 win. Busto got the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Busto allowed 1 earned run. Paul Zucarelli closed it out for his 2nd save.

Steve Koch dealt the Halberds a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Ellenburg leading 1-0, Koch, who is tied for 9th in the SAAA in triples with 1, hit a 3-1 fastball for a run-scoring triple.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Koch told the Ellenburg Gazette.

Ellenburg is now 10-19.
