Tritons Turn Back Alloway, 6-4
|
Jersey City played host to Alloway at the friendly confines of Jersey City Grounds.
Carlos Rúbio helped his team muscle past the Alloway Halberds, 6-4. In the game, the Jersey City left fielder was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Getting the save was Kingston Liniak, his 8th.
Raphaël Duval put Jersey City in front, 4-0, when he took Peter Glenn downtown. His 2-run home run came with two out in the bottom of the third. It was his 2nd home run of the season.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Jersey City manager P.J. Price.
Jersey City has an impressive 16-6 record.
