In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
José Zarate made an impact in the 8-6 Alloway win over Alaskan. Zarate, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2027 draft, went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Humpbacks fall to 6-11 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Alloway took a 7-6 lead on Jordan Hollins's 10th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Hollins hit in the top of the seventh, left Alaskan pitcher Gunnar Hoglund shaking his head.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Halberds manager Manuel Hernández. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
