Targaryens Win in Extras
|
The Jersey City Tritons and Royse City Targaryens provided some drama at Jersey City Grounds.
The Royse City Targaryens went home winners at Jersey City Grounds, thanks in large part to starter Alvin Randolph. Randolph silenced the Jersey City Tritons, enabling Royse City to grab the 2-1 win. Royse City reliever Miguel Aguilar was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Chris Sommer took the loss for Jersey City. Earning his 1st save for Royse City was Fernando Elías.
This game went down to the wire. In the top of the 12th, Cristo Cuervo had a big at-bat. With one out, the Royse City center fielder hit a sacrifice fly, to put his team up, 2-1.
In postgame comments to the Royse City Today, Cuervo said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The win brings the Targaryens to 7-4, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
