Racers Squelch Halberds Offense in Shutout Win
Indianapolis Racers starter Darren Garland turned in a top-notch performance against the Alloway Halberds at Speedway Field. The result was a win for the Racers, 3-0. Kris Ross got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. The save was credited to Francisco García, his 2nd.

Martín Alejadre tagged a home run off Mark Toope in the bottom of the seventh. His solo blast put the Racers on top, 1-0. In all, Alejadre had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Alejadre told the Indianapolis Today.
