St. Louis and D.C. duked it out at Washington Stadium and the Coeur came out victorious.

The St. Louis Coeur topped the D.C. Divided by the score of 6-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to second baseman Nobuhisa Murakami. Murakami went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk for the Coeur on the day. St. Louis, now 3-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.

St. Louis used the clutch hitting of Jack Bonner to capture the win. The catcher drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Coeur the lead, 4-3. For the game, Bonner had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Bonner said.
