Fans of the Calgary Lynx who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Calgary win over the visiting Port Royal Disaster, 9-6. Ángel Romero started for the home team against Aldo Raine. Bob Kassell earned the coveted player of the game honors. Ángel Romero picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 1-0. Jesús Hernández picked up the save, his 1st.
