Jimínez Helps Irving Outscore Belvedere Park
The Irving Blue Sox grabbed a 14-12 win over the Belvedere Park Rawhides at Field of the Rawhides. Irving left fielder Juan Jimínez was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 3 walks, while scoring 4 runs to earn player of the game honors. Masaharu Sakata recorded his 4th save for Irving. Irving used the timely hitting of Phil Beck to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put the Blue Sox on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
