The Marquette Miners defeated the Chesapeake Continentals, 3-2, at Chesapeake Grounds today. Leading the charge for Marquette was left fielder Jesús Morán. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The 8th-place Miners improved to 37-52.

Marquette grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Morán, who is rated as the 94th best prospect by BNN, hit a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Miners out in front, 3-2.

"It feels good to get this one," Morán told the Marquette Daily.
