Hops Come Back Late to Top Farmers
The Yakima Hops walked off with a big win today at Hops Park.

The Yakima Hops faced a tough opponent in Lancaster pitcher Billy Threepwood, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Hops Park by a final score of 6-5. Threepwood went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The Hops saw their record improve to 46-43.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 5-5, center fielder Jim McMahon won it for Yakima. With a runner on 3rd, McMahon hit a 2-1 fastball from Fidelio Zeri for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 6-5 win.

"This wasn't a good win," said McMahon. "It was a great win."
