Ricardo Martínez never let the Hops get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Thunder Hawks to a 4-1 win. Kyle Overhill earned his 3rd save in 3 chances. The third-place Thunder Hawks now have a win-loss record of 48-38.

In the bottom of the first, Anastasio Flores hit a 2-run double for Ft. Polk South. The 11th double of the season for the Ft. Polk South designated hitter put the Thunder Hawks on top, 3-1.

"Feels good to get the job done," Flores said after the game.
