Continentals Get One-Run Win at Ft. Polk South
Chesapeake Continentals starter Adrián Padilla pitched a strong game against the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks at Thunder Hawks Ballpark, leading the Continentals to a 6-5 win. The winning pitcher was Padilla, now 2-8. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. The last-place Continentals improved to 26-43.

Chesapeake used the clutch hitting of Ryder Ringor to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to give the Continentals the lead, 3-2. For the game, Ringor had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Continentals manager Ismael González. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
