Continentals Continue Skid Thanks to Winston, Blue Sox

A nice crowd turned out to see the Irving Blue Sox and Chesapeake Continentals clash at Chesapeake Grounds.
The Irving Blue Sox defeated the Chesapeake Continentals, 7-2, in USSL Double A action at Chesapeake Grounds, with Irving right fielder Brenton Winston named player of the game. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Blue Sox.
In the top of the first, Winston pounced on a 2-2 knuckleball from Tsu-wee Qi and hit a 2-run home run. It put Irving on top, 2-0.
Winston told a Irving Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
