Blue Sox Beat Thunder Hawks in 10
The Irving Blue Sox defeated the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 7-5, at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. Irving left fielder Juan Jimínez was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Kerry Tenner in relief. His record improves to 2-5. Min-chin Kim took the loss. With the win over Ft. Polk South, the Blue Sox improved to 24-30.

Irving used the timely hitting of Dale Goodman to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Blue Sox ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Goodman.
